Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has been always been over the spree of signing up back to back projects. While his entire league of fans are curiously awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Super Deluxe’, which is scheduled for worldwide release on March 28, the actor has something interesting to speak about the experience he had while shooting with this Thiyagarajan Kumararaja directorial.
He says, “There was a particular scene in the film, where I had to shoot for 50 times.” Well, this leaves us amazed about the outspoken gesture of the actor, isn’t? Obviously, not many actors do reveal certain things straight from their shoulders and he breaks the myth as an artiste. “I strongly believe that the classification of single take artistes and the one who takes more than this is a blunt myth. End of the day, artistes aren’t going to sets to impress the co-stars, but to make sure that they are completely breathing life into the roles they are essaying.”
Shedding lights on the role of Shilpa, a transgender in the film Super Deluxe, Vijay Sethupathi says, “Shlipa has taught me the value of womanhood. I now see how beautiful it is to be a woman. At the same time, the role made me realize how the Transgender are being ignored in the current walks of life. In fact, there is a particular dialogue citing this context in this movie.”
Super Deluxe featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and Mrithula in lead roles is about incidents that happen in the lives of 5 characters in a span of 24 hours.
